Onsite Programs

Our Mission:
The Theology of the Body Institute is committed to the faithful and effective education on the teachings of the Theology of the Body. Onsite programs provide a unique exposure to Theology of the Body through there live, in-person interaction with a TOB educator.
How we achieve it:
Institute Speakers travel across the country and around the world, delivering a variety of presentations customized to the needs of the sponsoring parish, diocese, or apostolate. These engagements give attendees a basic grounding in the beauty of the Theology of the Body, instilling in them a desire to learn more.

Institute Clergy Speakers Bill Donaghy and Damon Owens are available to present
Theology of the Body to your community.

Bill Donaghy

Bill Donaghy’s specialty is giving a series of talks in a 1 day seminar format. He also presents keynote addresses introducing the theology of the body and applying it to all areas of theology and Catholic teaching (e.g. the Catechism, the Creed, the sacraments, prayer, holiness, the new evangelization, building a culture of life).

Option (1) Single Presentation On-Site Program

Description: This includes a presentation up to 3 hours in length at a single venue. A typical schedule is a 60 minute presentation, 20 minute break, 60 minute presentation, including a Question and Answer period.

List of Talks:

1. God, Sex & the Meaning of Life: A Basic Intro to the Theology of the Body

This talk introduces the audience to some of the main themes of John Paul II’s theology of the body and demonstrates how it provides compelling answers to the most pressing questions men and women have about the meaning of life.

2. The Theology of the Body & the New Evangelization

The theology of the body is most often cast as an extended teaching on sex and marriage. It is that, but it is also so much more. In this presentation, Bill demonstrates that the theology of the body provides a "lens" through which to view, understand, and share the Gospel message itself. In the process he demonstrates that the Church’s teaching on life and love is not "imposed" from the outside, but corresponds perfectly with the deepest desires of the human heart.

3. Open Wide the Doors to Christ: Experiencing Healing in Our Sexuality

Because of the pornified culture in which we have been raised we have all, in a certain sense, been "sexually abused." We are in need of deep healing from the diseased images and attitudes our culture and our upbringings have instilled in us. The good news is that Christ came into the world to restore creation to the purity of its origins. In this presentation, Bill explores the integration of body and soul in Christ as the path of an authentic sexual healing.

Option (2) An Introduction to the Theology of the Body Seminar

Description: This includes 4 presentations with one overnight stay. Seminars run typically all day on Saturday or 2 nights during the week.

Title of talks

Talk One: What is the Theology of the Body & Why is it so important?

Talk Two: The Creation & Redemption of Man and Woman

Talk Three: The Resurrection of the Body & the Heavenly Marriage

Talk Four: The Sacrament of Marriage & the Language of Sexual Love
